Universal Parking Sensors for Retrofitting
Retrofit universal parking sensors & parking assistance systems
Modern universal PDC systems make it possible to professionally retrofit parking sensors in almost any vehicle – precise, reliable and visually almost identical to factory-installed systems. The wireless communication between the control unit and buzzer significantly simplifies installation and reduces the amount of wiring required inside the vehicle.
The digital ultrasonic sensors in OEM quality operate far more accurately than many low-cost universal kits and integrate almost invisibly into the vehicle design thanks to paintable sensors.
Easy retrofit without complicated vehicle electronics
One major advantage of these systems is the comparatively simple installation. No complex CAN bus integration, vehicle coding or routing of countless cables throughout the entire vehicle is required.
With basic technical skills, the parking assistance system can easily be installed in many vehicles by yourself. This makes the systems ideal for anyone looking to retrofit their vehicle independently.
For clean installation of the parking sensors, we also offer special tools and cutters for parking assistance systems. These allow precise openings to be created in the bumper – without cracking or damaging the paint. Even beginners can achieve professional retrofit results this way.
Front sensors possible even without rear PDC
Unlike many OEM systems, the front sensors can also operate independently of a rear parking assistance system. This is especially beneficial for vehicles with poor front visibility or low bumpers.
The front sensors activate automatically at low speed via GPS – similar to modern factory PDC systems. The rear sensors are activated conventionally via reverse gear. No additional switch is required.
The systems are not only suitable for standard passenger vehicles, but are also ideal for vans, motorhomes, campers, trailers and other vehicles with limited visibility while maneuvering.
Thanks to optional angle adapters, the sensors can also be properly aligned on steep or vertical bumpers.
Thanks to the wireless communication between the control unit and buzzer with a range of up to 30 meters, the systems are also ideal for vehicles with trailers. Even when maneuvering with a trailer or caravan, the acoustic warning remains clearly audible – without complicated cable routing throughout the vehicle.
Especially with large vehicles, tight parking garages or difficult driveways, modern parking sensors make maneuvering significantly more relaxed and help prevent expensive parking damage.
If you are looking for a high-quality and reliable retrofit parking assistance system, the universal AMPIRE PDC systems offer a modern solution with easy installation and precise obstacle detection.
