Vehicle-specific accessory retrofit kit for a rear view camera in the VW T5 and T5 Facelift dropside
Complete retrofit kit for integrating a rear view camera into the VW T5 and T5 Facelift with dropside body. This kit is particularly suitable for vehicles with radio units without factory camera support. Depending on the selected option, the camera image can be displayed on a separate 5-inch or 7-inch display.
Alternatively, connection to existing radio or navigation units with camera input is also possible. In this configuration, the camera image is displayed on the radio/navigation system screen like a factory-installed solution when reverse gear is engaged. The optical parking aid (if installed) remains available.

Connection options:
Version with 5-inch or 7-inch display
This version is suitable for vehicles with radio units without rear view camera support. The camera image is activated via the reverse light signal and appears directly on the separate display when reverse gear is engaged.
Version with connection interface for radio/navigation unit
This version is suitable for VW T5 vehicles with the following radio/navigation systems:
- RNS 2 / MFD 2
- RNS 510 / MFD 3
- RCD 510 (only if the device has a camera input)
The camera image is automatically displayed on the radio/navigation system screen when reverse gear is engaged. Final coding is carried out according to the supplied instructions using a diagnostic system (e.g. VCDS, VCP or ODIS).
Installation instructions:
- Install and adjust the rear view camera at a suitable location on the vehicle
- Route the wiring harness into the passenger compartment
- Connect to the separate display or via Plug & Play interface to the radio/navigation unit
- Coding for rear view camera function is only required when selecting the interface version
General information:
- The interface version can only be used with compatible radio/navigation units. The radio/navigation system and parking aid control unit must be coded accordingly.
- The versions with separate 5-inch or 7-inch displays are suitable for all VW T5 and T5 Facelift models.
