Connection adapter for direct camera connection to the radio/navigation unit:
Use this option ONLY if your VW Crafter is equipped with one of the following radio or navigation systems:
- Navigation Standard (PR number: 7UF or 7UT)
- Composition Media (PR number: I8E)
- Discover Media (PR number: I8E)
- Options Infotainment (PR number: 8AR)
- Entry Infotainment / Radio Entry (PR number: I8I) in combination with Digital Radio Reception (PR number: QV3) or MirrorLink (PR number: 9WT)

NOT suitable for other radio/navigation systems such as Radio Ultralow PR number I7D. Always use a separate display for these vehicles!
With this option, the reversing camera image is displayed on the radio/navigation screen immediately after reverse gear is engaged.
For this connection variant, control unit 5F Information Electronics and control unit 10 Parking Assistance (if installed) must be coded for reversing camera functionality. These instructions are, of course, included. Final coding is carried out using a standard diagnostic system according to our installation guide (e.g. VCDS, VCP, ODIS, etc.).
Connection option including 5-inch or 7-inch display
Use one of these options if your VW Crafter is equipped with a radio that does NOT support reversing camera display. In this configuration, the reversing camera is activated via the reverse light signal, and the camera image appears immediately on the additional display when reverse gear is engaged. Installation Notes
- Remove the third brake light and install the camera using the included template and screws (see instructions in Downloads)
- Route the wiring harness into the passenger compartment and connect it either to the separate display (5" or 7") or to the radio/navigation unit using the included Plug & Play adapter (depending on the selected version)
- Finally, code the vehicle for reversing camera functionality according to the included instructions (only for the "Connection Adapter for Radio/Navigation Unit" version)
Additional Notes
- The versions with a separate 5-inch or 7-inch display can be used without restrictions in all VW Crafter SY models.
- The version with the connection adapter for displaying the reversing camera image on the radio/navigation screen cannot be used in all VW Crafter models. Please observe the compatibility information and PR number requirements.
