Important notes on installation and commissioning of the cruise control system
The following steps must be carried out to retrofit the cruise control system. Please carefully follow the activation instructions!

Installation of the supplied components
- Install the new steering column switch or the new steering wheel buttons (depending on equipment)
- Install the new accelerator pedal (only for manual transmission vehicles, not required for DSG)
- Install the GRA control wiring between the steering column control unit and engine control unit (not required for vehicles with factory-installed speed limiter)

Activation of the cruise control system
This procedure varies depending on your order selection – please choose the desired option:

Option 1 – manual activation of cruise control
- Activation is carried out according to the included instructions via simple coding of the engine and steering column electronics
- A standard diagnostic tool such as VCDS, VCP, VCTool, ODIS or OBD-Eleven is required
- This option does NOT require an online connection to the manufacturer
- The new equipment is not reported to the vehicle manufacturer

Option 2 – online activation of cruise control via activation document with license protection
- Activation is carried out ONLINE via a VW authorized workshop or a workshop with online access to the manufacturer
- Activation via VCDS, OBD-Eleven or similar tools is NOT possible in this option

Advantage: the new equipment "GRA + speed limiter" is officially registered in the Volkswagen system and the parts catalog is updated accordingly

This retrofit kit CANNOT be used in vehicles that are already protected with SFD2!!
SFD stands for "Protection of vehicle diagnostics". Many vehicles from around model year 2024 are already equipped with SFD2, meaning that changes to the vehicle configuration are currently not possible via standard diagnostics.
