Notes on the retrofit kit

- This retrofit kit can also be used without restriction for vehicles with heated steering wheel
- This retrofit kit can also be used without restriction for vehicles equipped with a sport multifunction steering wheel (PR numbers 2FS, 2FW, 2FQ, 2FJ)
- This retrofit kit can also be used without restriction for hybrid vehicles and the VW Passat GTE
- In vehicles WITHOUT multifunction steering wheel (= MFL), a CAN gateway / diagnostic interface in version "High" must be installed – control units in version "MID" or "LOW" must be replaced beforehand.
- You can check whether the currently installed diagnostic interface / CAN gateway is compatible as follows:
- Connect the vehicle to a diagnostic system (e.g. VCDS) – open control unit address 19 – in the info field you will see e.g.:
- Gateway LOW = low = not compatible
- Gateway MED = medium = not compatible

Important notes on installation and commissioning of the cruise control system
The following steps must be carried out to retrofit the cruise control system. Please pay close attention to the activation instructions!

Installation of the supplied components
- Install the new steering wheel buttons including trim (depending on equipment)
- Install the new accelerator pedal (only for manual transmission vehicles, not required for DSG)
- Install the GRA control wiring between the steering column control unit and engine control unit (not required for vehicles with factory-installed speed limiter)

Activation of the cruise control system

Option 1 – manual activation of cruise control
- Activation is carried out according to the included instructions via simple coding of the engine and steering column electronics
- A standard diagnostic tool such as VCDS, VCP, VCTool, ODIS or OBD-Eleven is required (our instructions describe the procedure using VCDS and ODIS)
- This option does NOT require an online connection to the manufacturer
- The new equipment is not reported to the vehicle manufacturer

Option 2 – online activation of cruise control via activation document with license protection
- Activation is carried out ONLINE via a VW authorized workshop or a workshop with online access to the manufacturer
- Activation via VCDS, OBD-Eleven or similar tools is NOT possible in this option
